日前在台灣生活的波蘭記者抱怨，人行道上常有機車騎士飆速，他多次被機車騎士按喇叭驅趕，還有騎士在他背後猛催油門逼讓路。如今更有網友發現，台灣的交通狀況危險程度，竟然獲得日本台灣交流協會「認證」，尤其是遵守交通規則的觀念與意識相對薄弱！
論壇PTT網友PO出日台交流協會的「台湾在留邦人安全の手引き」（台灣日本僑民安全指南），其中第二項第9點「交通事故對策」特別註明，在台灣，有比日本更多的交通事故危險，近期台灣警方統計，交通事故的數量高於犯罪數量，須注意防止事故發生。最重要的是，對日本和台灣在交通條件和風俗習慣上的差異要有明確意識。
手冊點出
「步行時的對策」：
1.台灣駕駛傾向車輛優先，而不是行人優先。時刻意識其駕駛禮節不如日本。
2.不論時段，即使是綠燈過斑馬線，也應該確實確認周圍車輛。
3.請小心在行人面前勉強通過的右轉車輛。
4.摩托車在人行道停車是普通情事，摩托車在人行道騎行也時有所見，即使在人行道步行，也請注意前後摩托車的騎行狀況。

感想：
As a Taiwanese person, i am not really proud of our country. it has been a long time, i keep suffering from Taiwan’s terrible traffic. I can’t but admit that the place i live for 25 years is not safe enough. When i go out ,especially to a faraway place, i usually ride my scooter with my helmet to protect myselves as well as follow the traffic rules. Although the distance is not so long, i always feel unsafe and get annoyed easily. There are so many people don’t obey the traffic rule, and the people cross the intersections or roads usually running to avoid cars. That makes our traffic so dangeous.
I mean, i really like Taiwan indeed, but i truly feel not comfortable about our traffic system. Not only because the roads are not always safe, but also people usually don’t follow the traffic regulation Which makes me feel distressed and angry for our country.
The most sarcasm thing is i am a traffic police now. I see the bad traffic everyday, but still can’t help or improve our traffic situation.
Base on my experience, not following traffic rules has been a really normal thing for many people in Taiwan. However, the radical problem is the number of the scooters is always more than the parking lots in taipei city, for example, near the train stations or department stores. Many cars park on the red line on the road and block the traffic severely.
In addition, some people pursue the convenience and take advantage of traffic rules when there aren’t police or law enforcement machine.
Fortunately, Taipei city will continuously buy a lot of traffic law enforcement systems and will start working this year soon. I can’t wait seeing the outcomes after the systems work in our city.
Today, Taipei city has built a lot of traffic law enforcement systems(12 sites). Some are near the train stations or bus stations to keep the taxi and other cars from stopping by the important traffic fortress, and some are near the hospitals in order to let the ambulances go though the road safely and smoothly.
Although i don’t like our traffic in our country now, i think it will improve some time later. I hope our city will be a clean and orderly city, just like Japan. And i can never worried about my safety when walking on roads anymore.
